ROCKFORD (WREX) - It was a banner week for the Gymnastic Academy of Rockford's tumbling and trampoline teams at the USTA National Championships in Springfield, IL.
G.A.R.'s athletes brought home 54 individual medals, 29 individual national championships and 11 total teams awards. They also placed first overall as a team in a field of 91 teams.
G.A.R. coach Whitney Miller was also named the 2010 USTA coach of the year, an award voted on by judges and fellow coaches.
